Undergraduate Program for English Majors

This 4-year schooling program is to cultivate highly qualified talents with a broad international perspective, a solid foundation in English and Chinese language and culture, strong communicative ability, adaptability, critical thinking and innovation ability, and the ability to work in business, trade, education, translation and other related fields. Upon graduation, this program would offer bachelor’s arts degree.

The core courses for this program include:  Comprehensive English (I-VI), English Audio-visual Speaking and Listening  (I-II), Introduction to linguistics, English Reading, English Writing, English-Chinese Translation and Interpretation, British and American literature, Speech and Debate, etc.
