主讲人简介：

Matteo Capasso is CJ Scholar and Professor of Middle East Studies at the School of Country and Region Studies, Northwest University, China. Before moving to China, he was Marie Curie Global Fellow between the University of Venice, Italy and Columbia University, US. His research focuses on the impact of US-led imperialism—wars and sanctions—across the modern Middle East and North Africa. He is the Editor-in-Chief of Middle East Critique and the author of Everyday Politics in the Libyan Arab Jamahiriya (Syracuse University Press, 2023) and co-editor of The Imperialist Question in the Middle East and North Africa (Routledge, 2025). His work has been published in the Review of International Political Economy, Politics, Review of African Political Economy, World Review of Political Economy, and many other academic journals. He often appears on CGTN Global Watch as political analyst。
